My Signal Path is a digital product owned and operated independently, based in Dover, New Hampshire. We take the privacy of our users seriously, particularly because many of our users are young people. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to deliver the My Signal Path service. Specifically:

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or any purpose beyond delivering your My Signal Path results.

What We Do Not Do

Data Storage and Security

Your interview responses and Signal Snapshot are stored securely in our database. For individual purchases, access to your results is restricted to your unique retrieval link. For interviews completed through a school, program, or consultant access code, the organization that purchased the code also receives a retrieval link for each completed Snapshot — this is how counselors and advisors use results in their work with students, and it is disclosed to organizations at purchase. Within My Signal Path, database access is limited to the founder, and is used only for technical support, quality assurance, and student safety review — never for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

Who Can Use

My Signal Path offers two products designed for different audiences:

The High School interview is limited to students in grade 11 and above, and the product enforces this before any information is collected. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger. If you believe someone under 16 has used My Signal Path please contact us at brian@mysignalpath.com and we will delete their data immediately.

Data Retention

We retain your interview responses and Signal Snapshot so you can access them at any time via your retrieval link. If you would like your data deleted please email brian@mysignalpath.com and we will remove your information from our database within 7 business days.

Schools, Programs, and Consultants

When My Signal Path is delivered through a school, program, or consultant using access codes, we collect less information than in a direct purchase: the student provides only a first name and grade level, and no student email address is required. The organization — not My Signal Path — maintains the record of which student received which access code. This means My Signal Path cannot independently connect a completed interview to a student's full identity.

Organizations may request deletion of all interview data and Signal Snapshots associated with their access codes at any time by emailing brian@mysignalpath.com from the email address the codes were issued to. Bulk deletions are completed within 10 business days and confirmed in writing. Individual students (or their parents) may also request deletion of a single interview by providing their access code.

In the rare event that an interview contains a disclosure suggesting a student may be at risk of harm, we may notify the organization that issued the access code, identifying the interview by code number only, so the appropriate adults at the school or program can follow up. This is the only circumstance in which interview content is proactively shared.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of My Signal Path after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
